Se trata de Redciclach, Start-up nacida en la Universidad de Santiago como respuesta al problema de la basura, la reciente promulgación de la Ley de Reciclaje y la posibilidad de facilitarle la labor a los recicladores y recicladores de base.
Redciclach se compone de un contenedor inteligente que mezcla bigdata y un diseño innovador, ofreciendo una nueva experiencia de reciclaje, pero ¿qué lo hace inteligente? Este contenedor posee sensores de reconocimiento de material y de medición de llenado que permiten un monitoreo online para evitar así que el contenedor se convierta en un punto sucio, y cuenta además con datos en una nube, registrando cada residuo que ingresa y permitiendo generar información y estadísticas relevantes para crear campañas de reciclaje focalizadas, gestionar una ruta de retiro más eficiente para recicladores, hacer estimaciones de demanda, entre otros.
¿Cuál es el beneficio? En edificios residenciales, Redciclach se posiciona como una solución cercana para reciclar pudiendo hacerlo sin salir del edificio (sobretodo en tiempos de pandemia). Los y las residentes registran su reciclaje por departamento en la pantalla del contenedor y a fin de mes se puede usar el valor de lo que recicló como compensación del servicio y abono a los gastos comunes. La fórmula funciona, pues en comparación con otros sistemas, el contenedor de Redciclach se llena 4 veces más rápido.
